Ten years from now I see myself having made many accomplishments. I plan to definitely be out of high school and getting my degree in being an equine veterinarian. I’ve always wanted to be a veterinarian, because I love to help out animals that are in need. But the reason I want to be an equine veterinarian is because I love to be around horses and I’ve been around them ever since I was born and riding since I was three. It’s always been my dream to do this. I want to get my degree at N.C State, because they have the best veterinary school in the country. During college, I plan on keeping my dream going of being a professional barrel racer. I’ve been barrel racing for four and a half years now and I’ve learned so much along the way and I really want to keep doing it. I’m not really sure if I want to get married yet. I’ll just kind of wait and see what happens along the way. It’s not really a huge priority in my life to get married, because with being an equine veterinarian and having a job at doing that and also barrel racing; that will take up a lot of my time and I won’t really have time for a husband. I also will be able to make my own money and won’t have to depend on anybody else but myself. I’ve always been an independent person and I like to be able to do things on my own without having to have someone else’s help. I think it would be great to have all this accomplished in my life, and even more than this. After I go to college and get my degree I definitely want to leave this state and especially Harnett County! I’m ready to leave here and start a new life. I’ll probably go to a state like Kentucky or somewhere that has a lot of horses so I can continue my career there and possibly do my barrel racing there. If not there, I’ll travel to different states to continue it. This is what I would like to accomplish in the next ten years and hopefully have even more goals achieved.
